In 2009, Yasser received his Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the Faculty of Law, French Section, Ain Shams University. He obtained a diploma in French Legal Studies from Jean Moulin University, School of Law (Lyon III, France). He pursued a higher diploma in IP Law, Faculty of Law, Regional Institute of Intellectual Property, Helwan University, where he was awarded the first prize for the best thesis in IP. He also earned a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) in Private Law from Helwan University in 2012. He is a Ph.D. Candidate in IP Law (CECOJI-UP), University of Poitiers (France). Yasser is admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association and he practices Law as an IP Lawyer.

He is the legal advisor to several artists, art foundations and art market professionals in the Middle East on issues relating to Copyright Law and Art Market Law. He is the Legal advisor to the International Project of the first catalogue raisonné for a Middle Eastern artist Mahmoud Saïd Catalogue Raisonné published by Skira Editore (Milano). Yasser is a certified WIPO trainer since 2014 (Egypt, Start-up National IP Academies Project) and Tutor at WIPO Academy (Geneva), Distance Learning Center.

He has several writings in the fields of Intellectual Property and Art Market Law. His writings are published in Belgian, French and Canadian Law Journals and he is the correspondent of Egypt for the Revue Internationale du Droit d’ Auteur (RIDA, Paris), and the French review “ Propriétés intellectuelles ” (edited by IRPI, Paris II Panthéon-Assas University). He is also the author of three books in Arabic on Copyright issues published by Dar El Nahda El Arabia (Cairo), including ” Treatise Al Jami Al Yasser on Copyright Law and the Art Market Law in Egypt and France ” (Vol. 1, 2013).He is a member of the Regional Editorial Committee for Africa of Revue Francophone de la Propriété Intellectuelle – RFPI ( Francophone Journal of Intellectual Property ,AFPI, Strasbourg) and member of the International Literary and Artistic Association(ALAI), the Institute of Art & Law (France).

Yasser specializes in legal issues concerning management and protection of works of art and cultural property, International Art Market Law, Copyright Law, Media & entertainment Law and Intellectual Property.
